First Day Fright
One word descibing my feelings about high school: stress.First of all, at this point I don’t even know what high school I will be attending. Second of all, course selection sheets are due Friday for my homeroom, and I have yet to decide on my electives or on whether I will take honors or AP world history. I am leaning towards taking honors because AP will be a lot of work, and I am all ready taking honors for every other subject. I want to take construction for one of my electives, but I am afraid that I will get stuck in a class full of obnoxious boys. If I end up getting excepted to Choate, it doesn’t mean I can go there. I can only go there if I get the scholorship, which is very unlikely. So right now I am just acting like I never even applied to Choate and I am just going to Sheehan, it takes some of the stress away. If I just so happen to get the scholorship, I will be very excited, but incredibly nervous. I won’t know anyone and there is a whole campus, not just one building. I get butterflies just thinking about it. But I know that wherever I end up going, I will do well and be happy. I am good at making new friends and I will already know a ton of freshmen and upperclassmen at Sheehan. I am nervous and stressed, but also really really excited! I hope everyone else is also excited about high school. I think it will be something new and different for everyone, but soon we will adjust. I also think we’ll have a lot more freedom, meaning we won’t have to walk with our teachers from class to class!

Bug =],
I think you’ll do fine no matter what you do. You are EXTREMELY smart and always do well in school. You always work hard and that will continue to make you successful.

I have the same feelings that you do on highschool. However, I never found a way to cope with the anxiety of Choate, so I’ll try to do what you are doing and see if that works. But I still can’t wait to not walk with teachers all the time.
Good luck getting into Choate.
